Join to apply for the Sourcing Systems Officer role at Surrey County Council.The starting salary for this role is £33,552 per annum based on a 36-hour working week. This full-time position is offered as a fixed-term contract or secondment opportunity up to 31 March 2027. For internal candidates, please discuss with your current Line Manager before submitting your application. The team works from the office at least once a week, with additional in-person days as required. We are primarily based in Woking; however, we travel across the county as needed.We are excited to be hiring a new Sourcing Systems Officer to join our Business System and Digital Team. As a Sourcing Systems Officer, you will support the implementation and maintenance of business systems, collaborate with colleagues to improve digital processes and provide technical expertise across departments. You will play a vital part in shaping digital transformation initiatives that contribute to enhancing resident’s experiences and drive positive change within Surrey County Council.Responsibilities

Support the implementation and maintenance of business systems and provide technical expertise across departments.Collaborate with colleagues to improve digital processes and contribute to digital transformation initiatives.Ensure smooth operation of systems, address user access and functionality queries, and contribute to system testing and improvements.Create and maintain user guides and internal documentation; update and improve SharePoint pages.Assist in delivering user training for new processes and system enhancements; contribute to continual process improvement.Maintain and advance Adult Social Care sourcing systems and support third-party applications to meet residents’ needs and achieve value-for-money outcomes.Shortlisting Criteria

To be considered for shortlisting, your application should evidence the following skills and align with our behaviours:Technical Proficiency and Digital Literacy: experience with IT systems, user support, and platforms such as SharePoint; understanding of the systems development lifecycle and maintenance of systems.Data Analysis and Creative Problem-Solving: ability to analyse data and contribute to system improvements and digital transformation.Communication and Documentation Skills: ability to produce clear documentation and user guides; experience delivering training to diverse audiences.Team Collaboration and Stakeholder Engagement: experience working with cross-functional teams and engaging stakeholders.Commitment to Service Improvement: evidence of delivering user-focused solutions and understanding of commissioning processes and value-for-money outcomes.How to Apply
