My client is a leading civil engineering contractor who are currently looking to recruit an experienced General Foreman to join their team on a water treatment site. This is a great opportunity to join an established contractor delivering key civil works within the water sector.

General Foreman Responsibilities:

• Supervising day-to-day site activities and coordinating site teams

• Managing subcontractors, plant, and labour on site

• Ensuring works are delivered safely, on programme, and to specification

• Overseeing civil engineering works including drainage, concrete, and infrastructure works

• Carrying out site briefings and toolbox talks

• Working closely with the Site Manager and Engineers to ensure smooth delivery of the project

• Monitoring work progress and maintaining high quality standards

• Ensuring health, safety, and environmental regulations are followed at all times

General Foreman Requirements:

• Previous experience working as a General Foreman on water or wastewater treatment schemes

• Strong background in civil engineering works

• Ability to manage multiple work fronts and coordinate site teams

• SMSTS or SSSTS qualification

• Valid CSCS card

• First Aid at Work (preferred)

• Strong leadership and communication skills
