Sounds great, what will I be doing? Our aim is to help people reduce distress, feel heard, and regain a sense of stability during times of crisis. Visitors can access one-to-one support, assistance with developing short and long-term safety plans, practical guidance, and signposting to relevant services. Refreshments are also available, helping to create a comfortable and welcoming space. In addition, the service offers a range of wellbeing-focused activities, including peer support sessions, creative groups, and recovery-based programmes that encourage connection, self-expression, and resilience. As a Peer Support Worker, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality, person-centred support and interventions to individuals experiencing a mental health crisis within a hospital setting. You will work alongside clients throughout their time within the service, providing responsive, compassionate support that helps them feel safe, understood, and empowered.
