Secondary Learning Teaching Assistant • Secondary School • Full-time • Start: Sept 2026 • ongoing contract • WandsworthA large, welcoming Secondary school in Wandsworth are looking for a Leaning Teaching Assistant with a literacy background to join their school from September 26 to work with pupils across their secondary school.The Role In this role you will play a key role in supporting students with literacy-related barriers to learning, helping them to develop the skills, confidence and independence needed to achieve success across the curriculum. You will work closely with the SENDCo, teaching staff, families and external professional. The chosen candidate will deliver targeted literacy interventions, monitor students'' progress and provide tailored support to ensure students can fully engage in academy life.The post holder will:Deliver targeted literacy support that enables students to access learning and make sustained academic progress.Promote inclusion by helping students overcome barriers to learning and participate fully in academy life.Work collaboratively with teaching staff, families and external professionals to support individual student needs.Monitor, evaluate and record student progress to inform effective intervention and support planning.Foster students'' confidence, independence and resilience through positive relationships and tailored support.Contribute to the academy''s SEND provision by implementing agreed strategies and interventions.Champion ..... full job details .....
