SEN Teaching Assistant
Veritas Education are currently recruiting for a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and inclusive school in Batley. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual who is passionate about supporting children with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and helping them achieve their full potential in a nurturing educational environment. The Role As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with pupils who require additional support, both within the classroom and through targeted intervention sessions. You will play a key role in promoting engagement, confidence, and independence whilst supporting the school''s commitment to inclusive education. Key Responsibilities Provide one-to-one and small group support for pupils with Special Educational Needs. Support students with a range of needs, including Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), ADHD, Speech and Language Needs, and Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. Assist the class teacher in delivering engaging and differentiated learning activities. Promote positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing. Monitor pupil progress and provide feedback to teaching staff. Support the implementation of Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs). Foster a safe, inclusive and supportive learning environment. The Ideal Candidate Previous experience working with children or young people with SEN is desirable. A calm, patient and empathetic approach.
