About the Role
We are working on behalf of a leading, UK-based engineering organisation operating within a highly regulated and complex manufacturing environment. This confidential opportunity is for a-Manufacturing Engineer-to join on 12-month fixed term contract, supporting the delivery of technically advanced products from concept into production.
This role offers the chance to work at the interface of-design, production, and continuous improvement, ensuring efficient, high-quality manufacturing processes within a fast-paced project environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and optimise-manufacturing processes, tooling, and production methods
- Support-New Product Introduction (NPI)-from design through to production readiness
- Create and maintain:
- Work instructions
- Manufacturing documentation
- Process flow diagrams
- Translate engineering designs into-practical, manufacturable solutions
- Provide hands-on support to production teams, resolving-manufacturing issues and non-conformances
- Drive-continuous improvement initiatives-(cost, quality, delivery)
- Participate in-design reviews-to ensure manufacturability and efficiency
- Work closely with cross-functional teams including design, supply chain, quality, and project management
- Analyse production data to identify trends and implement process improvements
- Ensure compliance with-health & safety, quality standards, and regulatory requirements
About You
- Degree (or equivalent experience) in-Mechanical, Manufacturing, or related Engineering discipline
- Experience working in a-manufacturing or production engineering environment
- Strong understanding of:
- Fabrication, machining, or assembly processes
- Design for Manufacture (DFM) principles
- Experience supporting-NPI / production transition activities
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications
- Knowledge of-lean manufacturing / continuous improvement methodologies
- Strong problem-solving skills with a hands-on, practical approach
- Effective communicator with experience working across multiple teams
Desirable Experience
- Experience within-heavy engineering, fabrication, or regulated industries
- Familiarity with-welding, structural assemblies, or complex mechanical systems
- Experience using CAD systems or manufacturing simulation tools
