Manufacturing Engineer - 12 month FTC

About the Role

We are working on behalf of a leading, UK-based engineering organisation operating within a highly regulated and complex manufacturing environment. This confidential opportunity is for a-Manufacturing Engineer-to join on 12-month fixed term contract, supporting the delivery of technically advanced products from concept into production.

This role offers the chance to work at the interface of-design, production, and continuous improvement, ensuring efficient, high-quality manufacturing processes within a fast-paced project environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and optimise-manufacturing processes, tooling, and production methods
• Support-New Product Introduction (NPI)-from design through to production readiness
• Create and maintain:
• Work instructions
• Manufacturing documentation
• Process flow diagrams
• Translate engineering designs into-practical, manufacturable solutions
• Provide hands-on support to production teams, resolving-manufacturing issues and non-conformances
• Drive-continuous improvement initiatives-(cost, quality, delivery)
• Participate in-design reviews-to ensure manufacturability and efficiency
• Work closely with cross-functional teams including design, supply chain, quality, and project management
• Analyse production data to identify trends and implement process improvements
• Ensure compliance with-health & safety, quality standards, and regulatory requirements

About You

• Degree (or equivalent experience) in-Mechanical, Manufacturing, or related Engineering discipline
• Experience working in a-manufacturing or production engineering environment
• Strong understanding of:
• Fabrication, machining, or assembly processes
• Design for Manufacture (DFM) principles
• Experience supporting-NPI / production transition activities
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications
• Knowledge of-lean manufacturing / continuous improvement methodologies
• Strong problem-solving skills with a hands-on, practical approach
• Effective communicator with experience working across multiple teams

Desirable Experience

• Experience within-heavy engineering, fabrication, or regulated industries
• Familiarity with-welding, structural assemblies, or complex mechanical systems
• Experience using CAD systems or manufacturing simulation tools
