Automotive Mechanics for a project based in Wolverhampton, carrying out mechanical replacement and repair work on vehicles.Role Overview: As an Automotive Mechanic, you will be responsible for engine-related mechanical work, including the removal and replacement of engines, oil pumps, and water pumps, ensuring all work is completed to manufacturer and quality standards.Key Duties and Responsibilities:Removal and replacement of vehicle enginesReplacing oil pumps and water pumps to specificationDiagnosing mechanical faults related to engine systemsStripping and rebuilding mechanical components as requiredFollowing manufacturer repair procedures and torque settingsUsing diagnostic tools and workshop equipment safelyCompleting job cards, check sheets, and repair documentationCarrying out quality checks following repairsMaintaining a clean, safe, and organised work areaWorking to set targets and deadlines while maintaining quality standardsRequirements:Proven experience as an Automotive MechanicStrong knowledge of engine systems and mechanical componentsAbility to carry out engine removal and refit independentlyExperience replacing oil pumps and water pumpsAbility to read and follow technical instructions and manualsGood communication skills
