This role combines direct care responsibilities with supervisory and administrative duties to promote a safe, supportive, and efficient environment for both residents and staff.Key ResponsibilitiesWeekly Checks:Perform and document weekly checks to ensure facilities, equipment, and resources meet safety, hygiene, and operational standards.Staff Supervision and Development:Provide regular supervision sessions for support workers, fostering their professional growth and supporting team performance.Safeguarding Investigations:Assist with investigating safeguarding concerns, collaborating with the Registered Manager to uphold policies and ensure resident safety.Coaching and Mentoring:Mentor staff to build their skills, confidence, and teamwork, promoting a positive and collaborative culture.Infection Control Audits:Conduct regular audits to ensure adherence to infection prevention protocols, maintaining a safe and healthy environment.Collaborative Safeguarding Efforts:Work closely with the Registered Manager to ensure thorough and sensitive handling of safeguarding investigations.Team Meetings:Actively participate in monthly team meetings, sharing updates, insights, and feedback to enhance service delivery.Additional Responsibilities:Provide flexible support to the Registered Manager, assisting with various tasks as needed to meet the evolving needs of the service.What We’re Looking For:Strong leadership and communication skills.Previous experience in a similar role within a care environment.Knowledge of safeguarding practices and infection control standards.Ability to conduct audits and document findings accurately.A commitment to fostering a positive and collaborative team environment.Flexibility to adapt to the needs of the service.Eligibility:You must have the right to work in the UK.Work Location: In-person at one of our Manchester-based services.If you’re an experienced support worker ready to take the next step in your career, we’d love to hear from you!
