Langdale Chase Hotel, which sits on the banks of beautiful Lake Windermere, has recently undergone a full and significant refurbishment and reopened its doors in November 2023. In that time the hotel has achieved 5 Star Status from the AA and been recognised in the prestigious Times Top 100 Places to Stay, ranked No.3 and North of England Hotel of the Year.We are now looking to appoint a passionate Commis Chef to report to the Executive Chef to ensure the delivery of our delicious menu and cuisines to our guests and ensure an exceptional guest experience.Your day to day;Responsibility for preparation, cooking and presentation of food for the propertys menu in line with specifications with the Kitchen and food service teamProviding high levels of guest service throughout the food serviceEnsure the hygiene and cleanliness standards of the kitchen are always maintainedDaily cleaning, deep cleaning and sanitising the kitchen as required and directed by the Executive ChefSupporting the property with ensuring any materials and waste is recycled correctlyWho are we looking for?You will have worked previously in a similar Commis Chef role and will have worked in a high quality Four-Star or Five-Star hotel and have demonstratable experience in a fine dining environment. You will proactively be able to work calmly and well in a pressurised environment, having high levels of self-motivation.You will have exemplary customer service skills, good interpersonal skills, and the ability to work well with others to represent the Company and the hotel in a passionate, loyal, professional, and knowledgeable manner.
