Our client are a long-established subcontract CNC machining company primarily supplying components for the Aerospace Industries, with approximately 36 machine tools of various configurations from Pallet Loaded Horizontals to 3m 5-Axis Indexers. We are currently recruiting for a Trainee Production Planning Engineer to join their current team, to learn and develop within the company, with future incentive to become the Planning Manager. Planning Department is responsible for the following: Providing Quotations for New Projects from Rough Order of Magnitude up to Definitive Estimates Industrialisation of New Projects. Providing input on Machine requirements and procurements Providing Detailed methods of Manufacture i. Route-cards ii. Stage Drawings Designing bespoke Fixtures including Detailed Drawings and Bill of Materials Designing bespoke Gauges when required Creating off-line CNC Programs and Setting Details for Fixtures i. Detailed Tool Lists ii. Setting Instructions Creating off-line CNC Programs and Setting Details for Components. i. Detailed Tool Lists ii. Setting Instructions iii. Loading Instructions iv.
