Duties Collect and load refuse from designated areas onto collection vehicles, ensuring all waste is safely secured. Operate basic mechanical equipment used in waste collection, with training provided if necessary. Assist with the maintenance and minor repairs of collection vehicles and equipment. Follow health and safety protocols at all times, including the proper handling of hazardous materials when required. Ensure all collected waste is disposed of in accordance with local regulations and company policies. Maintain cleanliness of work areas, including the loading zone and vehicle interiors. Assist in the organisation of collection routes to optimise efficiency and minimise environmental impact. Experience Previous experience in waste collection or a similar manual labour role is advantageous but not essential; training will be provided.
