The Resident hotel brand in London, Liverpool and Edinburgh and Four Points Flex by Sheraton in Cardiff, Newcastle, Edinburgh and Dundee.Role Overview:As a Data Scientist, you will leverage your expertise in statistics, mathematics, and computer science to analyze our vast data repositories. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities, build predictive models, and develop algorithms that enhance our business operations and decision-making processes.Key Responsibilities:Gather and analyze business requirements to create data models and ETL processes.Build accurate, reliable, interactive, and visually compelling reports and dashboards using Power BI and other software.Utilize advanced data analysis techniques to extract valuable insights from complex datasets.Develop predictive models and algorithms to optimize business processes and outcomes.Clean, preprocess, and manipulate large datasets to ensure accuracy and reliability.Conduct exploratory data analysis to identify patterns, trends, and anomalies.Implement machine learning algorithms and statistical models for data-driven decision-making.Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business objectives and translate them into analytical solutions.Provide training and support to end users on BI tools and solutions.Communicate findings and insights to both technical and non-technical stakeholders through visualizations, reports, and presentations.Stay updated with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in data science.Desired Skills and Experience:Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field.Proven experience working as a Data Scientist or in a similar role.Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, or Java for data manipulation and analysis.Strong understanding of machine learning techniques, algorithms, and libraries.Solid knowledge of statistical methods and their applications in data analysis.Proficiency in Microsoft BI stack.Experience with database systems (SQL, NoSQL) and big data technologies (Hadoop, Spark) is a plus.Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and in a team environment.Strong communication skills with the ability to convey complex findings to diverse audiences.Strong organizational skills.Willingness to travel across Group sites and attend external meetings (some overnight stays may be required).Why Work for Us?We want to ensure that all our team members are engaged, motivated, and most importantly, happy.
