Youth Support Worker
Job Introduction At Turning Point, we support people across The UK with Mental Health, Substance Misuse and Learning Disabilities. As a Youth Support Worker, you will ensure that young people living in Turning Point''s supported accommodation are supported to thrive and reach their full potential in a safe, nurturing, and supportive environment, increasing their independency to create a positive move on into the community. As a Youth Support Worker, you will join The Lancashire Young People supported accommodation services that supports 18 young people (Aged 16- 21) across two locations in Chorley (Parker House and The Bridge). Role Responsibility You will be supporting Young People to manage their finances, gain independent living skills, promote health, wellbeing and healthy lifestyle choices as well as supporting them to maximise their involvement in local training, education, and employment opportunities. The role is changeable, and every day will be different, some examples of what you will be responsible for are: Managing the referrals, sign up, support and move on for the Young People Developing, implementing and reviewing individual support plans and risk assessments focussing on young people''s needs, strengths and goals. Providing support with budgets and finances Provide an excellent rent / service charge collection service, ensuring regular accounts monitoring and contact with people regarding payments Completing accurate and detailed daily records for the Young
