About the RoleA leading Mechanical and Electrical contractor, specialising in control systems for process control, automation, and telemetry primarily within the water industry, is seeking a Control Systems Engineer.Your RoleThe Control Systems Engineer will take ownership and be responsible for the full life cycle delivery of projects in a safe, efficient, and cost-effective manner, with a strong focus on quality and customer satisfaction. The role involves working on specialist projects mainly within the UK Utilities sector and requires a committed, flexible, and proactive attitude.Key responsibilities include:Conducting site surveys and producing clear, detailed reports.Creating detailed and professional functional design specifications (FDS).Developing, configuring, and modifying bespoke programs for PLCs, HMIs, and SCADA systems.Preparing and delivering Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT), Customer FATs (CFAT), and Site Acceptance Tests (SAT) reports.Producing Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS).Performing on-site installation, testing, fault finding, and commissioning.Managing project-related correspondence, plans, deliverables, and documentation.Supporting team members in project delivery and training.Projects vary in size and complexity, providing continuous challenges.
