We''re working with a growing technology company operating a high-volume, real-time data platform. They are creating a brand-new Database / Data Engineer position to take greater ownership of how data is structured, retrieved, cached and optimised across their systems. The company handles fast-moving data where speed, reliability and low latency are critical. With significant growth planned over the next few years, they need an engineer who can help ensure the platform scales effectively as data volumes increase. The Role You''ll become the dedicated database/data specialist within an established development team, working across an environment that includes PostgreSQL, Redis, DynamoDB and AWS. This isn''t a traditional DBA position. You''ll work closely with developers and DevOps to understand existing data flows, identify performance issues and improve how applications access and retrieve data.
