Class 1 Driver
Location: Tamworth
Shifts: Monday - Friday 22:00 start
Pay Rate: £20 per hour

As a Class 1 Driver, you will be responsible for delivering car parts to stores and showroom garages across a wide delivery network, covering locations from Motherwell to Exeter and everywhere in between. You''ll play a key role in ensuring deliveries are completed safely, efficiently, and on time while providing a professional service to customers.

We welcome applications from newly qualified Class 1 drivers, provided you successfully complete the onsite driving assessment. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain valuable experience with consistent Monday to Friday night shifts, offering regular hours and a supportive working environment.

Our client is a third-party provider of transportation and logistics services, offering a range of services including drayage, global freight forwarding and full truckload transport. The company is committed to environmental sustainability and works with customers to create action plans to reduce emissions.

Your duties will include:

• Completing an average of 2 deliveries per shift.
• Delivering palletised goods and cages to customer locations.
• Unloading deliveries using a pallet truck or by manoeuvring cages into the delivery point.
• Accessing and securing closed showroom sites by locking and unlocking premises where required.
• Collecting customer returns and transporting them back to the depot.
• Completing all deliveries safely, efficiently, and in line with company procedures.

Requirements

• A valid Class 1 (Category C+E) driving licence.
• A valid Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card.
• Good communication skills and a professional approach to customer service.
• The ability to work independently and responsibly, particularly when accessing secured customer premises.
• Safety boots and a high-visibility vest.
