Mobile Air Conditioning Engineer

A leading provider of property and facilities maintenance services is looking to appoint an experienced Mobile Air Conditioning Engineer to join their growing team operating across commercial sites throughout Southeast region.

This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified AC Engineer who enjoys a varied role, working on a wide range of commercial HVAC and cooling systems while delivering first-class service to prestigious clients.

The Role

As a Mobile AC Engineer, you will be responsible for carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM), reactive repairs and fault finding on a variety of air conditioning and refrigeration systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct PPM and reactive maintenance on:
  • VRV / VRF systems
  • Split and Multi-Split systems
  • Water-Cooled Chillers
  • DX Close Control Units
• Diagnose and repair refrigeration and air conditioning faults using a methodical approach.
• Carry out refrigerant leak detection, recovery and charging in accordance with F-Gas regulations.
• Complete all compliance documentation and digital service reports accurately.
• Ensure all works are delivered safely and in line with company procedures, RAMS and Permit to Work systems.
• Provide technical support and clear communication to clients and site management teams.
• Identify opportunities for equipment upgrades, energy efficiency improvements and system replacements.
• Participate in the regional out-of-hours call-out rota.
• Maintain accurate records of refrigerant usage, parts utilised and completed works.

Requirements

Essential

City & Guilds 2079 Category 1 F-Gas Certification (Current & Valid)

NVQ Level 2 or Level 3 in Refrigeration & Air Conditioning or equivalent qualification

Minimum 3 years' experience as a Mobile AC Engineer within a commercial building services or facilities management environment

Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills

Full UK Driving Licence

Desirable

• Experience with Daikin and Mitsubishi systems
• Chiller maintenance experience
• Knowledge of L8 compliance and pressure systems
• Experience using CAFM systems and digital reporting software
