We''re recruiting an experienced Children''s Social Care Team Manager to join Knowsley''s Help and Protect Service, overseeing work with Children in Need (CIN) and Child Protection (CP).

This is a permanent opportunity for an experienced social work leader who can provide strong management oversight, support high-quality practice and lead a team of Social Workers to deliver positive outcomes for children, young people and their families.

The role will include:

• Leading, motivating and supervising a team of Social Workers
• Providing regular reflective supervision, clear management oversight and effective decision-making
• Managing and monitoring the quality and performance of casework
• Ensuring statutory responsibilities and safeguarding duties are met
• Allocating and prioritising work effectively across the team
• Using audits, performance indicators and quality assurance to drive good practice
• Supporting the development, training and progression of staff, including ASYE Social Workers
• Leading service improvements and contributing to wider service planning
• Working closely with senior managers and partner agencies
• Ensuring practice remains child-focused, outcome-focused and compliant with relevant legislation, policy and procedures

The role is 36 hours per week with hybrid working available.

There is an expectation to be office-based a minimum of 3 days per week. During the Team Manager''s duty week, which is 1 week in every 8, the expectation is to be office-based for the full week.
