HGV Class 1 Driver – Nights

Rate: £20.00 per hour Competitive overtime rates
Shift: 5:00pm–4:00am or 6:00pm–5:00am
Induction: 2-day paid induction

We are currently recruiting experienced HGV Class 1 Drivers for night shifts at a busy container transport operation based in London Gateway. This is a great opportunity for drivers seeking regular work with competitive pay and straightforward routes.

What’s on offer:

• 2-day paid induction provided
  
  

• Transporting shipping containers to and from London Gateway and regional ports or distribution sites
  
  
• Coupling and decoupling trailers safely and correctly
  
  
• Carrying out pre-use vehicle checks and reporting defects
  
  
• Ensuring all loads are secure and compliant with transport regulations
  
  
• Accurate completion of paperwork and use of on-board systems
  
  
• Communicating effectively with the transport office
  
  
• Adhering to all driver hours and WTD regulations
  
  

• Valid UK HGV Class 1 (C E) licence
  
  
• Up-to-date CPC and Tacho card
  
  
• Experience in container work preferred
  
  
• ADR licence advantageous but not essential
  
  
• Good knowledge of driver regulations
