Groundworks Site Supervisor
Wokingham, Berkshire
£250–£260 per day | Contract: 27 July to 28 September 2026
Day shifts, with occasional weekend work

The Role

We are recruiting an experienced Groundworks Site Supervisor for a project at St. Pauls School in Wokingham.

The successful candidate will be a practical, hands-on supervisor who can work closely with the groundworks gang while managing health and safety, productivity and communication with the client. A Senior Site Manager will oversee the project and move between the company’s active sites.

Responsibilities

Your duties will include:

• Supervising a groundworks gang and organising daily activities

• Supporting the team with practical site work when needed

• Monitoring quality, productivity and project progress

• Ensuring work is carried out safely and correctly

• Maintaining site health and safety standards

• Delivering briefings and toolbox talks where required

• Coordinating labour, materials and work areas

• Communicating professionally with the client

• Reporting progress, delays and site issues

• Working closely with the Senior Site Manager

• Helping keep the project on programme

• Maintaining an organised and professional site

Requirements

Applicants must have:

• Previous groundworks supervisory experience

• Strong experience within construction, civils or groundworks

• A valid CSCS card

• Experience supervising gangs or small site teams

• Good health and safety knowledge

• The ability to monitor work against drawings and programmes

• Clear communication and client-facing skills

• A hands-on and dependable working style

• SSSTS 

• First Aid
