Responsibilities

Co-ordination of multidisciplinary team

Project management of deliverables, including financial monitoring of projects

Report writing

Client liaison

Stakeholder liaison

Meeting attendance

Assisting with business development and work-winning activities

The role is within Avison Young’s Environmental Planning Team, active across the UK in property, infrastructure, waste and energy. A Senior Consultant with approximately five years’ plus experience is sought, preferably located in London, Birmingham or Manchester. Flexible geography may be considered with travel to client meetings as needed.

Qualifications

A relevant university bachelor’s degree or master’s degree

Membership to a relevant professional organisation (preferably ISEP or IEMA) and/or Chartered Environmentalist

Strong understanding of environmental topics and the UK planning system

Experience implementing the EIA Regulations at all stages of the EIA process

Experience coordinating multi-disciplinary teams

Experience managing project stakeholders and project delivery

Excellent written skills with experience authoring EIA documents and related deliverables

Clear and confident communication skills

Pro-active, collaborative approach and ability to think innovatively to enhance client outcomes
