Civil / Structural Engineer - Water

-4044 per hour DOE I Remote I 6-Month Contract I Inside IR35

This is an excellent opportunity for a Civil / Structural Engineer to support the delivery of structural design work across major water infrastructure projects.

The team is looking to appoint two engineers with a minimum of 6 years'' experience who are confident delivering reinforced concrete and foundation designs. Previous water sector experience would be beneficial, but it is not essential for the position.

The role offers remote working from the offset.

The Role

You''ll be involved in:

• Preparing outline and detailed civil and structural designs
• Designing reinforced concrete structures, pad foundations, retaining walls and general foundations
• Producing clear design calculations, reports, drawings and technical deliverables
• Working in accordance with relevant Eurocodes and UK design standards
• Using structural analysis and design software such as STAAD Pro, Autodesk Robot or similar
• Supporting BIM-led design and multidisciplinary project delivery
• Coordinating your own workload against project programme and cost expectations
• Attending site when required to develop practical and buildable solutions
• Working collaboratively with project stakeholders throughout design and construction
• Supporting and supervising the work of others where required

What They''re Looking For

• Degree in Civil Engineering or a suitable equivalent qualification
• A minimum of 6 years'' civil or structural engineering experience
• Strong design background with experience across reinforced concrete structures
• Experience designing pad foundations, retaining walls and general foundations
• Understanding of relevant Eurocodes and UK industry standards
• Experience using structural analysis software such as STAAD Pro, FEM analysis tools or Autodesk Robot
• Ability to produce calculations, reports, drawings and other technical deliverables
• Strong communication, organisation and prioritisation skills
• Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary engineering team
• Willingness to attend site where required
• UK/EEC driving licence

Previous water sector experience would be advantageous, although engineers from other relevant civil and structural design backgrounds will also be considered.
