1:1 Support Mentor - Primary Mainstream Location: South Manchester Full-Time Term Time Only Make a real difference to the lives of young people. We are looking for a caring, resilient and enthusiastic 1:1 Support Mentor to join a primary school in South Manchester. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is passionate about supporting young people who may have faced challenges within mainstream education. You will provide dedicated 1:1 support and small group mentoring, helping students build confidence, develop positive relationships and overcome barriers to learning. The Role As a 1:1 Support Mentor, you will work closely with individual students and small groups to provide personalised support and encouragement. Your responsibilities will include: Providing tailored 1:1 support for students with SEMH needs. Supporting students in small group sessions to develop learning, social skills and confidence. Building positive, trusting relationships with young people. Helping students manage emotions, regulate behaviour and develop coping strategies. Encouraging engagement with learning and school routines. Supporting students to develop resilience, independence and self-esteem. Acting as a positive role model and trusted adult. Working alongside teachers and the wider pastoral team to support individual needs.
