Are you an experienced Health and Safety leader looking to shape strategy across a major UK infrastructure business?

We''ve partnered with a leading infrastructure provider to recruit a Health and Safety Director. The organisation constructs and manages a large nationwide estate, and this role will lead the company-wide Health and Safety strategy, working closely with the Board and senior leadership team.

Responsibilities of the Health and Safety Director will include:

• Leading the Health and Safety strategy, governance and assurance framework across the business.
• Advising the Board and senior leadership team on key risks, legal duties and performance.
• Overseeing Health and Safety risk across a large infrastructure estate, including work at height, electrical safety and contractor activities.
• Leading and developing the Health and Safety team while driving improvements in safety culture and supply chain performance.

The successful Health and Safety Director will have:

• Significant senior Health and Safety leadership experience within infrastructure, construction, utilities or a similar multi-site environment.
• Experience advising Board-level stakeholders and managing complex operational risks.
• A strong understanding of UK Health and Safety legislation and ISO 45001.
• Proven experience leading teams, managing contractors and improving Health and Safety performance across a large organisation.
