Due to continued growth, we are now seeking to recruit a Bookkeeper to join our practice situated in Burnley town centre.The roleWe are looking to appoint a capable and proactive Bookkeeper to be office based with our team in Burnley. This position will see you taking ownership of a varied portfolio of clients, ensuring all financial records are maintained with accuracy and professionalism.Key responsibilities include:• Overseeing purchase and sales ledgers, including the preparation and posting of invoices using various client software.• Completing bank reconciliations on a regular basis• Preparing and submitting VAT returns in line with HMRC requirements• Assisting with accounts preparation to trial balance stage (desirable)• Processing of journals into client software• Maintaining organised financial records and supporting general office/accounting tasks
