Senior Associate – Non-Contentious Construction (4+ PQE)

Location: London

A highly regarded City firm with a national footprint is seeking an experienced Senior Associate (4+ PQE) to join its thriving non-contentious construction team

This is an exciting opportunity to work on high-profile matters within the construction, engineering and procurement sector, with a particular focus on building safety, fire safety and large-scale residential development projects. The firm is recognised in Legal 500 and Chambers UK and offers a strong platform for career growth, business development, and sector specialism.

The Role:

• Advising on, drafting and negotiating a wide range of construction contracts (JCT, NEC and others).
• Managing complex transactions and providing commercially astute advice
• Advising on procurement methods, development agreements, and related contractual structures
• Building and maintaining strong client relationships across developers, contractors, funders, housing providers and public bodies
• Supporting juniors and contributing to client training, seminars, and publications

Requirements:

• Minimum 4 years’ PQE in non-contentious construction law gained in private practice
• Strong knowledge of JCT contracts (design & build, traditional, intermediate, minor works, measured term)
• Experience with NEC, FIDIC, or PPP/PFI contracts advantageous
• Commercial awareness and ability to “hit the ground running” in a busy, high-performing team
• Excellent drafting, communication and client-facing skills
• Interest in business development and sector networking
