About the Estimator OpportunityPSR Solutions are delighted to be partnering with a respected Regional Main Contractor based in Birmingham, recruiting for an experienced Estimator to join their dynamic pre-construction team.This is an excellent opportunity to take ownership of the tendering process across a diverse portfolio of Commercial, and Education projects throughout the Midlands region. The role is primarily office-based within a supportive team environment, offering the chance to play a pivotal part in securing projects and influencing early-stage construction strategy.Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare accurate, competitive, and clearly presented cost estimates for a variety of new build and refurbishment schemesManage the full tender process, including take-offs, scope reviews, risk assessments, and subcontractor engagementAnalyse drawings, specifications, and project information to develop robust pricing strategiesBuild strong working relationships with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure reliable and competitive pricingLead tender reviews and handover meetings with the pre-construction and delivery teamsIdentify value engineering opportunities and propose cost-effective alternatives where appropriateEnsure compliance with company procedures, procurement policies, and tender governanceWork collaboratively with design, commercial, and operational teams to support bid success and project deliverySkills and ExperienceProven experience as an Estimator within a Main Contract
