Sales and Projects Support Engineer

JOB DESCRIPTION Job Title: Sales and Projects Support Engineer Department: Sales Responsible to: Sales Engineer UK and US JOB PURPOSE To support the Sales and Projects teams by planning and undertaking site surveys and producing technical reports detailing the condition of installed equipment. To aid the securing of future work. Working as part of the Sales team preparing and gathering internal and external cost/time estimates together with quotations from the supply chain. Working as part of the Project team to plan, manage, execute and deliver projects to the purchase order, quoted scope, delivery dates, budget, and business needs. Limited to small orders unless there is supervision by more senior project staff. Work with Project/Sales Managers to support and create the core elements or work breakdown structure (WBS) to ensure project delivery from initial set-up to close out. JOB ACTIVITIES Plan, arrange, execute and produce site survey reports for clients. The expected frequency is 1 week per month travelling to client site locations to undertake site-based inspection activity. Work directly with Customers, Sales/Applications Engineers and Project Engineers to develop estimates, costing and plans. Engage with procurement/production/engineering (relevant stakeholders at bid phase), to ensure operational buy-in and secure estimates, costing and plans where required.
