Responsibilities

• Operate Class 2 commercial vehicles, including flatbed trucks, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations
• Load, secure, and unload cargo efficiently while ensuring the integrity of the goods during transit
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to verify vehicle safety and readiness before each journey
• Plan optimal delivery routes to meet deadlines and maximize efficiency
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers to coordinate deliveries and resolve any issues promptly
• Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, fuel consumption, and vehicle maintenance needs
• Follow all company policies related to safe driving practices and cargo handling

Experience

• Proven experience as a delivery driver, preferably with flatbed or similar commercial vehicles
• Valid Class 2 driving license with a clean driving record
• Familiarity with commercial driving regulations and safety standards
• Prior delivery driver experience demonstrating punctuality and reliability
• Knowledge of route planning tools and GPS navigation systems
• Ability to handle physical tasks associated with loading/unloading cargo efficiently
