Financial Controller Our client is a well-established, privately owned manufacturing and engineering business based in Nottinghamshire, with a strong market presence and an established customer base. The business continues to perform well, with a strong plans for further growth. They are looking to appoint a qualified Financial Controller to take ownership of the day-to-day finance function, working closely with the leadership team to drive financial performance, improve reporting and support commercial decision-making. The role Reporting to the Finance Director, you will run the month-end process, lead a small finance team and make sure the business has accurate, timely information on profitability, stock and cash. There is a genuine opportunity to tighten processes and improve the quality of reporting rather than simply maintaining what is already there. Key responsibilities Deliver the monthly management accounts and board reporting, with clear commentary on performance and margins Oversee costing, WIP and stock valuation, working closely with operations to resolve variances Manage cash flow forecasting, working capital and the annual budget and reforecast process Prepare year-end statutory accounts under FRS 102 and lead the external audit Strengthen financial controls and processes while managing and developing the finance team About you ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified, with at least two years'' post-qualification experience A background in manufacturing, ..... full job details .....
