Teach South Kent is seeking an enthusiastic and talented Art Teacher to join a successful secondary school in Maidstone on a maternity cover basis.

This is an exciting opportunity for a creative and dedicated teacher to join a supportive school community and inspire students through an engaging, ambitious and inclusive Art curriculum.

The Role
As an Art Teacher, you will:

• Deliver high-quality Art lessons across the secondary age range.
• Plan and deliver creative, engaging and challenging lessons that inspire students.
• Support students in developing their artistic skills, confidence and individual creativity.
• Teach a broad range of artistic techniques, processes and disciplines.
• Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback to help students achieve their potential.
• Contribute positively to the wider life of the school and the Art department.
• Create a positive, inclusive classroom environment where all students feel encouraged to express themselves.

About YouWe are looking for a teacher who:

• Has QTS or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
• Has experience teaching Art within a secondary school setting.
• Is passionate about Art and committed to helping young people develop their creativity.
• Has high expectations of students and themselves.
• Can plan and deliver engaging, well-structured lessons.
• Builds positive relationships with students and colleagues.
• Is adaptable, enthusiastic and able to make a positive contribution from the outset.
