We are recruiting for an experienced Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join an established food manufacturing business based in Milton Keynes.

Working within a fast-paced food production environment, you will play a key role in maintaining production equipment, minimising downtime and ensuring machinery operates safely and efficiently.

This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on engineer with experience in food manufacturing, looking to join a busy production facility offering a competitive salary and a 4 on, 4 off shift pattern.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance across a range of food production machinery.
• Diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical faults to minimise production downtime.
• Maintain and repair machinery including conveyors, mixers, ovens, packaging equipment and automated production lines.
• Respond to machinery breakdowns, identifying root causes and implementing effective solutions.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives to improve equipment reliability, efficiency and overall site performance.
• Ensure all maintenance activities are carried out in accordance with health and safety and food hygiene standards.
• Work closely with production teams to ensure machinery is operating effectively and production targets are achieved.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and ensure all work is completed to the required standards.

Skills & Experience

• Previous experience working as a Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer within food manufacturing.
• Strong electrical and mechanical maintenance experience.
• Good fault-finding and diagnostic abilities across automated production machinery.
• Experience maintaining food processing, production and packaging equipment.
• Knowledge of planned preventative maintenance (PPM) systems.
• Understanding of food hygiene, HACCP and safe working practices within a food production environment.
• Relevant engineering qualification, ideally Level 3 or above.
• Ability to work independently and effectively within a fast-paced manufacturing environment
