A leading business based in North Leeds seeks an experienced Management Accountant for an initial 6 month contract which may lead to a permanent opportunity.The role will involve the following tasks:Assist in preparation of management accounts packs including calculation and posting of accruals, prepayments.Variance analysis and assistance with preparation of monthly P+Ls.Preparation of monthly recharges and reconciliation of intercompany balances, working with finance team to investigate any differences.Monthly reconciliation of balance sheet codes.Maintaining sales ledgers, ensuring the invoiced amounts reflect any contract changes and are collected in a timely manner.Preparation of VAT returns.Respond to audit queries and provide information for preparation of statutory accounts.Maintain controls and processes.Support of Senior Finance Manager on project based work.To be considered you may be either formally qualified (ACA, ACCA, CIMA), a late stages studier or qualified by experience but you must have a proven history of management accounting and reconciliation work.The company has a brilliant culture and can offer hybrid working with the expectation to be on site 2-3 days per week.There is a chance this could lead to a longer term opportunity but please only apply if you have the relevant background plus you are available to start straight away.Sharp Consultancy is a finance and accountancy recruitment specialist assisting accounting and finance divisions of businesses i
