Within this Internship, we’ll provide training and the latest tools for you to experience the full-stack of software development in an Agile environment. You’ll work on websites, applications, servers, and databases, and apply design patterns and your own contribution to our products. Activities may include:Given documentation to learn and understand the code base you will be working onDesigning, developing, documenting and testing code you have writtenParticipation within a multi-developer Agile teamResearching and utilizing cutting-edge technologiesPair programming with an experienced developerExperiencing the full-stack of software development opportunities as a valued team memberA successful candidate will work as part of a team, collaborating with stakeholders and multidisciplinary colleagues within the Space industry to help create and maintain websites, applications and databases in line with Agile methodology.Responsibilities
Work as part of a team to deliver software solutions in an Agile environmentEngage in software development lifecycle activities including design, implementation, and testingRequirements
Our placements are open to Undergraduates only. It is mandatory to be an undergraduate for the whole duration of the placement. Please inform your graduation date on your application.Your application should include a CV and a Cover Letter outlining motivation and suitabilityStudying towards a degree in Computer Science or Software EngineeringUnderstanding of Object-Oriented PrinciplesGood problem solving skillsSolid foundation in C# or JavaInterest in programming and technologyKnowledge of software architecture and design patternsSecurity clearance
You will be subject to a BPSS check. You may also need UK SC-level Security Clearance or Export Control, depending on the role.Application notes
