Location: Rotherham, South Yorkshire (Hybrid Working)

Pay Rate: -35.00 per hour

Contract Type: Full-time | Initial 3-Month Contract (Extension potential up to 6-9 months)

Rotherham Metropolitan Borough Council is seeking an experienced, motivated Supervising Social Worker / Kinship Care Assessor to join a dedicated and ambitious fostering team.

• Deliver comprehensive assessment, supervision, and ongoing support to foster carers and kinship carers.

• Complete high-quality Form K Assessments for kinship carers.

• Deliver training programs for carers to ensure safe, stable, and nurturing placements.

• Apply thorough assessment, analytical, and recording skills aligned with statutory safeguarding responsibilities.

• Promote an empathetic understanding of the needs of looked-after children and young people.

• Qualification & Registration: Recognised Social Work degree (or equivalent) with active Social Work England registration.

• Experience: Minimum of 2 years'' post-qualifying experience within a fostering service setting.

• Core Skills: Proven experience as a Supervising Social Worker and hands-on experience completing Form K assessments.

• Knowledge Base: Sound understanding of relevant legislation, statutory regulations, and the National Minimum Standards for Fostering Services (2011).
