This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who enjoy working outdoors, being part of a team, and playing a vital role in keeping local communities clean and safe. As a Refuse Loader, you will assist with the collection of household, recycling, and commercial waste across the borough, ensuring services are delivered efficiently and safely. Key Responsibilities Collect household and recycling waste from residential and commercial properties. Load refuse and recycling materials onto collection vehicles. Work alongside drivers and the wider waste operations team. Follow health and safety procedures at all times. Provide a courteous and professional service to residents and members of the public. Ensure routes are completed efficiently and on schedule. Report any issues, hazards, or missed collections to supervisors. Requirements Ability to undertake physically demanding work involving lifting, walking, and working outdoors in all weather conditions. Reliable, punctual, and able to work as part of a team. Good awareness of health and safety practices. Previous experience in waste collection, labouring, street cleansing, or a similar outdoor role is advantageous but not essential.
