Semi-Senior Accountant - Mid-tier Accountancy Practice Bedford Up to £34,000 Butler Rose Public Practice is delighted to be supporting a long-established Chartered Certified Accountancy firm in Bedford with the recruitment of a Semi-Senior Accountant. This is an excellent opportunity for an ACA or ACCA studier with at least two + years experience in a UK practice to join a close-knit team providing accounts, tax, bookkeeping and VAT services to a varied client base. The role offers broad exposure across accounting and tax work, alongside opportunities to develop your technical and client management skills. Key Responsibilities Prepare year-end statutory accounts for a range of clients and business entities Prepare VAT returns, personal tax returns and related compliance work Complete bookkeeping assignments in line with Making Tax Digital requirements Maintain accurate accounting records, reconciliations and client files Respond to client queries relating to bookkeeping, accounts, tax and financial processes Support client onboarding and integration, escalating issues to managers where appropriate Manage assignments against agreed deadlines, budgets and fee expectations Monitor budgets, record time accurately and maintain workflow and practice management systems Assist with taxation matters and ad hoc accounting and tax projects Use a range of accounting and practice software, including Xero, QuickBooks and Sage Complete relevant technical and software training and ..... full job details .....
