Site Manager
We are seeking an experienced Site Manager to oversee a racking installation project with associated conveyor works. As we will be acting as the Principal Contractor (PC), the successful candidate must have proven experience managing sites in a Principal Contractor capacity, with strong knowledge of health and safety, subcontractor coordination, and client communication. Key Responsibilities Oversee day-to-day site operations for racking and conveyor installation works. Act as the Principal Contractor Site Manager, ensuring full compliance with CDM regulations. Manage site inductions, RAMS, permits, daily briefings, and reporting. Coordinate subcontractors, materials, deliveries, and work schedules. Monitor site progress, quality, and safety standards. Liaise with project managers, clients, and stakeholders. Ensure all works are completed safely, on time, and to specification. Required Certifications and Competencies Black CSCS card (essential) SMSTS (essential) First Aid at Work (essential) IOSH or NEBOSH certification (preferred) Strong understanding of racking installations and conveyor systems Experience working as a PC Site Manager on industrial, warehouse, or logistics projects Ideal Candidate Strong leadership and communication skills Excellent understanding of HandS and CDM regulations Able to manage multiple contractors on site Proactive, organised, and able to drive progress
