3-19 SEN TEACHER
Teaching and Learning Plan, deliver and assess engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to pupils with a range of SEN/ALN, including (but not limited to) ASD, ADHD, SEMH, MLD, SLD and communication needs Create a safe, structured and positive learning environment that supports individual learning styles Use a variety of teaching strategies, interventions and resources to meet pupils'' needs Monitor, assess and record pupil progress, adapting teaching accordingly Pupil Support Develop and implement Individual Development Plans (IDPs) in line with the ALN Code for Wales Support pupils'' emotional regulation, behaviour and wellbeing using trauma-informed and restorative approaches Promote pupils'' independence, confidence and social development Work effectively with support staff to ensure consistent and high-quality provision Person SpecificationEssential Criteria Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) Experience teaching pupils with SEN/ALN, ideally in a specialist or additional needs setting Strong understanding of the ALN Code for Wales (or willingness to develop this) Ability to plan and deliver differentiated, inclusive lessons Excellent communication, teamwork and relationship-building skills A calm, patient and resilient approach to teaching and behaviour support Commitment to safeguarding and promoting pupil wellbeing
