Overview

We are looking to appoint two enthusiastic and dynamic colleagues to join the gastroenterology service at South Warwickshire University NHS Foundation Trust. The gastroenterology department currently comprises 4 WTE consultants and 3 working LTFT. The successful candidates will be afforded the opportunity to collaborate with and develop the service.Main duties and interests

Although these posts are being advertised with an emphasis on Education and ERCP/EUS interest any clinical interest could be accommodated (and encouraged) where possible as long as this interest fits in with the service needs of the department and complements the interests and expertise of the existing consultants. The Trust has an expanding cohort of Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD) patients, therefore, interest in this area would be welcomed.About us

There is an expectation that the post holders provide emergency cover and weekend working. Out-of-hours endoscopy is shared equally by the gastroenterologists. Weekend cover will entail cover of existing in-patients and assistance in the management of acutely unwell patients with gastrointestinal problems.Person Specification

Academic AchievementEssentialEntered on the specialist register in gastroenterology and general medicine with either CCT or CESR or be within 6 months of CCT.DesirableHigher degree in a field allied to gastrointestinal disease
