Teacher of Media & English

Key Information:

• Location: Tunbridge Wells, Kent
• Contract Type: Permanent (Full-time or Part-time considered)
• Salary: -31,000 - -50,000 dependant on pay scale
• Start Date: September 2026
• Key Stage: Up to A Level

Academics are looking for an ambitious Teacher of Media and/or English for a highly successful school in Tunbridge Wells. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a collaborative and high-performing English department within a school known for its strong academic outcomes and positive learning environment.

Applications from both experienced teachers and Early Career Teachers (ECTs) who are committed to delivering engaging lessons in Media and English up to A Level.

The Role:

• Teach Media and/or English across Key Stages, including A Level
• Plan and deliver high-quality, engaging lessons
• Contribute to a collaborative and successful English department
• Support student progress, attainment, and wellbeing
• Engage in wider school life, including enrichment activities

Key Requirements:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
• DBS or willing to apply for one
• A degree in English, Media, or a related subject
• Ability to teach English and/or Media up to A Level
• Strong subject knowledge and passion for teaching
• Excellent classroom management and communication skills
• A commitment to safeguarding and student welfare
• Interest in Drama (desirable but not essential)
