Senior Electrical Design Engineer – London

Are you an experienced Electrical Building Services Engineer looking to take the next step in your career

I'm working with a leading multidisciplinary building services consultancy that is looking to appoint a Senior Electrical Design Engineer to join its growing London office. This is an excellent opportunity to work on a diverse portfolio of technically challenging projects across sectors including Commercial, Residential, Healthcare, Education, Life Sciences, Industrial and Mixed-Use developments.

You'll play a key role in leading projects from concept through to completion, working closely with clients, architects, and multidisciplinary design teams while mentoring junior engineers.

The Role

• Lead the electrical design of building services projects across the full RIBA lifecycle.

• Produce electrical designs, calculations, specifications and technical reports.

• Attend client, design team and site meetings.

• Coordinate with mechanical, public health and structural engineers.

• Review and oversee the work of junior engineers.

• Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget and to the highest technical standards.

• Contribute to sustainable, low-carbon design solutions.

About You

• Degree qualified in Electrical or Building Services Engineering (HNC/HND candidates with relevant experience will also be considered).

• Strong experience within Electrical Building Services design.

• Experience delivering projects across the full design lifecycle.

• Proficient with industry-standard software such as Amtech/Trimble ProDesign, Dialux/Relux, Revit and AutoCAD.

• Good knowledge of British Standards, Building Regulations and CIBSE guidance.

• Client-facing experience with excellent communication skills.

• Chartered or working towards CEng through CIBSE or IET is desirable.
