CNC Grinder

Location: Rochdale, Greater Manchester
Pay Rate: -18 per hour
Shift Pattern: 9-Day Fortnight

About the Role

Our client, a well-established and respected manufacturer within the precision engineering sector, is seeking an experienced CNC Grinder to join their production team. This is an excellent opportunity to work for a business with a strong reputation for quality, innovation and employee development.

The successful candidate will be responsible for setting and operating CNC grinding machinery to produce high-precision components, ensuring all products meet strict quality and performance standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Set, operate and adjust CNC grinding machines.
• Manufacture components to engineering drawings and technical specifications.
• Carry out in-process inspections using precision measuring equipment.
• Maintain high standards of quality and accuracy throughout production.
• Perform routine machine maintenance and basic troubleshooting.
• Identify and report any quality, tooling or machine issues.
• Adhere to all health, safety and quality procedures.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives within the manufacturing department.

Skills & Experience Required

• Previous experience working as a CNC Grinder in a manufacturing or engineering environment.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Experience using inspection and measuring equipment, including micrometers and verniers.
• Strong understanding of engineering tolerances and quality standards.
• Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
