About Our Client
Our client is an established construction contractor with a strong presence across London and the surrounding Home Counties. Operating across a variety of sectors, the business delivers a range of new-build, refurbishment and design-and-build projects, with a particular focus on quality, client relationships and reliable project delivery.
Due to continued growth and an expanding workload, they are looking to appoint an experienced Contracts Manager to oversee multiple projects and support the continued development of their operations.

The Role
The successful candidate will take responsibility for the overall management and delivery of multiple construction projects, ensuring they are completed safely, on programme and within budget.
Working closely with Project Managers, Site Managers, commercial teams and senior management, you will provide operational leadership, maintain strong client relationships and ensure consistently high standards of delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the successful delivery of multiple construction projects.
• Manage and support Project Managers and Site Managers across the portfolio.
• Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget and to the required quality standards.
• Monitor project programmes, progress and resource requirements.
• Maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants and subcontractors.
• Attend client meetings and provide regular project updates.
• Oversee procurement, subcontractor appointments and package management alongside the commercial team.
• Identify and manage project risks, issues and potential delays.
• Ensure health and safety procedures are implemented and maintained across all sites.
• Monitor commercial performance, budgets and project costs.
• Provide regular reporting to senior management.
• Assist with the successful handover and completion of projects.

• Proven experience as a Contracts Manager within the construction industry.
• Strong background working for a main contractor or established design-and-build contractor.
• Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously.
• Good understanding of construction programmes, procurement and commercial management.
• Strong leadership and people management skills.
• Excellent client-facing and communication abilities.
• Good knowledge of health and safety regulations and construction processes.
• Ability to manage projects from pre-construction through to completion.

• Salary up to £85,000, depending on experience.
