Teaching and Learning Support Assistant (Maternity Cover Until June 2026) Hours: 8:30am 4:00pm, Monday to Friday About the Role: We re seeking a passionate and resilient Teaching and Learning Support Assistant (TLSA) to join a specialist independent setting supporting girls with a range of social, emotional and mental health needs (SEMH) and Special Educational Needs (SEN). This is a rewarding opportunity to make a genuine difference in the lives of young people who need care, patience and consistency to thrive. You ll work closely with class teachers, SEN professionals and therapists to provide targeted academic, emotional and behavioural support. Key Responsibilities: Support teaching and learning under the direction of the class teacher. Assist in creating a positive, inclusive and nurturing classroom environment. Provide 1:1 and small group interventions to help students reach their potential. Support students in developing emotional regulation, communication and social skills. Implement behaviour and learning strategies to promote engagement and self-confidence. Support students with their EHCP targets and record progress effectively. Provide pastoral support and act as a positive role model. Work collaboratively with teachers, therapists, and parents/carers to support student progress.
