We are looking for a motivated and dependable Weekends Production Operative / Machine Operator to join our specialist electrical and mechanical process plant on a full-time basis. This is a hands-on, practical role ideal for someone who enjoys structured processes, working to targets, and being part of a supportive team. This position offers long-term security, career development, and an excellent pathway to increased earnings following successful training and probation.

Shift Pattern: 1800-0600 Friday to Sunday (34 hours per week)

Key Responsibilities of the weekend twilight shift operator include:

Working as part of a small, dedicated team, you will be responsible for:

o Carrying out routine Production Operative tasks over the weekends and following established procedures

o Preparing and setting equipment in line with company requirements

o Monitoring each stage of the production process and maintaining consistent output quality

o Using hand tools to inspect and quality-check your own work

o Accurately completing documentation and adhering to SOPs

o Supporting basic machine upkeep and safe handling of raw metallic materials

o Maintaining focus in a fast-paced environment and contributing to smooth workflow

o Managing automated machinery and carrying out some setting duties

Person Profile We are seeking someone who:

o Has strong attention to detail and good communication skills

o Is reliable, proactive, and eager to learn

o Can follow written and verbal instructions confidently

o Is comfortable working to targets and contributing to team success

o Ideally has 6–12+ months of Production Operative experience

o Can commit to fixed weekends and remain flexible as the business grows

Hours and Pay

o Hours: 0600-1800 Friday to Sunday

o Starting Rate: £13.93 per hour

o Pay Increase: Upon successful completion of probation

o Earning Potential: £15+ per hour once fully trained
