ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY
Prospero Teaching is looking for an SEN Maths Teacher.
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Maths Teacher to join an all-boys school in Caterham, teaching an all-boys class of students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). This is a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic teacher who is passionate about supporting young people with additional needs and helping them achieve both academically and personally.

- Minimum rate of pay - Minimum GBP150 - Maximum - GBP270 - depending on experience
- Hours - Full day
EXPERIENCE, TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS
- QTS, QTLS, PGCE, EYFS or equivalent
- 6 months+ experience working in a UK school
- Up to date Safeguarding training issued in the last year (desirable however not essential)
- Plan and deliver outstanding Maths lessons tailored to students with ASD.
- Adapt teaching strategies to meet a range of communication, sensory and learning needs.
- Build positive relationships with pupils, encouraging confidence, independence and resilience.
- Monitor, assess and track student progress against individual targets.
- Work collaboratively with Teaching Assistants, therapists, parents and external agencies.
- Promote positive behaviour through consistency, understanding and relationship-building.
- Contribute to EHCP reviews and wider school development

TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST:
- Hold Right to Work in the UK
- Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
- Provide two professional child related references that cover the last two years
