Vehicle Mechanical Design EngineerWarwick - Hybrid | £40,000 - £55,000 DOEVIQU is working with a well-established engineering organisation within the specialist vehicle sector to recruit a Mechanical Design Engineer with experience in cab interior systems and occupant-focused design. This role will focus on the design and development of vehicle cab interior components, working from concept through to production, ensuring regulatory compliance and manufacturability throughout.Key Responsibilities: Design and develop cab interior systems and components including dash and trim panels, door systems, floor systems and mats, seating and anchorage systems Produce 3D CAD models, assemblies, detailed drawings and BOMs Select appropriate materials based on performance, durability and regulatory requirements Work closely with manufacturing teams to ensure DFM/DFA principles are applied Support tooling reviews including A/B surface considerations Ensure compliance with relevant vehicle and occupant safety regulations Support validation, testing and product introduction activities Contribute to engineering change management processesKey Requirements: HNC/HND or Apprenticeship in Mechanical Engineering (essential) Previous experience designing vehicle cab interiors or similar engineered interior systems Strong material knowledge including plastics (ABS, PP, GRP), rubber, foam, fabrics and sheet metal fabrication Experience with manufacturing processes such as injection moulding, vacuum for
