Year 1 Class Teacher - September Start (Permanent)

A welcoming and well-regarded mainstream primary school in Tooting is seeking a dedicated Year 1 Class Teacher to join their team on a permanent basis from September.

The successful candidate will take on full classroom responsibilities within Year 1, supporting pupils as they transition from Early Years into Key Stage 1, with a strong emphasis on phonics, early reading, and foundational learning.

• Supporting pupils'' phonics development and early literacy skills
• Preparing pupils for the Year 1 Phonics Screening Check
• Working closely with support staff to ensure all pupils make progress

• Hold QTS and have experience teaching within Key Stage 1
• Demonstrate strong knowledge of phonics (e.g. Read Write Inc., Little Wandle or similar)
• Be confident in managing a class and setting clear expectations
• Show a proactive and reflective approach to teaching
• Have a clear understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures
