We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Support Workers to join our team in providing high-quality care to children and young people in a residential care home setting. You will play a vital role in supporting their emotional, physical, and social development, ensuring a safe and nurturing environment.Key Responsibilities
Provide day-to-day care and supervision for children and young people aged 5-18.Support children with emotional and behavioural needs, including those with trauma backgrounds.Assist with daily routines such as meals, hygiene, school runs, and recreational activities.Build trusting relationships and act as a positive role model.Maintain accurate records and contribute to care plans and reviews.Work collaboratively with social workers, therapists, and other professionals.Ensure safeguarding policies and procedures are followed at all times.Shift Pattern
12-hour shifts (e.g., 8am-8pm or 8pm-8am)3-4 days per week on a rolling rotaIncludes weekends and public holidays on a rotational basisRequirements
Previous experience in a care or support role (children''s residential care preferred)NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care (Children and Young People) or willingness to work towards itEnhanced DBS check (required prior to employment)Strong communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to remain calm and resilient in challenging situationsPlease click
